Hugo: 地獄的煉火

阿C想要尋找真理，他來到了黑暗的中國村，在中國村入口前有一塊大牌樓，上面寫著，“Abandon all hope, you who enter！”（Dante Alighieri，The Divine Comedy）；他不知道這是什麼意思，於是他盲目地走進了這個村子。

在進入這個村子後，他看見村子裡充滿了死屍，而且發出令人嘔吐的腐臭味，這些腐臭味似乎已經存在了好幾千年了。他好奇地問正在吃死屍的某禿鷹，“這裡到底發生了什麼事？為什麼有那麼多的死屍？”；口中流著鮮血的禿鷹說，“The wages of sin is death！”(Romans 6:23)

他不明白禿鷹的話，於是走到枯樹旁問樹上的烏鴉，“這裡有活人嗎？”；烏鴉望著黑暗的天空說，“There is no peace for the wicked！” (Isaiah 57:21)、“For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God！”(Romans 3:23)

他也不明白烏鴉的話，於是走到池塘旁問水裡的魚兒，“如何讓這個村子離開黑暗？”；魚兒非常感慨地說，“We must turn from our wicked ways！” (Luke 5:32)

他也不明白魚兒的話，於是走到後村墳地問螢火蟲，“如何讓光進入這個村子？”；螢火蟲地說，“We must obey God's commandments！” ( Matthew 7:21-23) 、“We must be born again！”( John 3:3) 、“Believing upon Jesus is a necessity to being saved！” ( John 3:18)

螢火蟲說完話後，突然傳來了無數禿鷹的吼叫聲，“Fire! Fire! Fire!” ；此時，整個村子著火了，螢火蟲萬分堅定地說，“"Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is near！”(Matthew 4:17)
