在漢文化的無底坑裡，荀子問坑外的螢火蟲，“在人類的世界裡，人人是生而不平等的！不論出生背景、家庭經濟條件、個人智力條件、個人資質條件、個人文化條件、個人社會地位、個人社會關係與際遇、個人身高與體力、年齡與性別、個人經驗與學歷、個人拳頭的大小等，人人哪裡有平等可言？”“既然事實存在是人人沒有平等可言，那麼我講‘禮的等級制與等級倫理’與‘親疏遠近的血緣意識’有啥不對？那麼我講‘專制’與‘三綱五常’ 等思想有啥不對？那麼我講‘王道、仁政、德治、禮法、孝道、忠君、恕道、中庸’等思想有啥不對？”
螢火蟲對孟子說，“《聖經》裡說，‘So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them. And God blessed them.’(Genesis 1:27-28)，因此你應該說‘人人是被造物主創造平等的’！”
“如果沒有《聖經》，如果沒有God，如果沒有《十誡》，那麼人類的所有的規則與道理，就是靠‘武力與強權’來決定；那麼人類存在的合理決定方式，就是‘你死我活’與‘勝者為王’；那麼人類存在的事實狀態，就是‘不斷地鬥爭與戰爭’與‘不斷地互相仇恨與敵對’，不是嗎？”
“如果沒有《聖經》，如果沒有God，如果沒有《十誡》，那麼人類就自然會使用‘武力與強權’與‘權謀詭詐、假大空、坑矇拐騙’等方式，來建立‘專制、權力、暴力、謊言與權威’文化；那麼人類就自然會使用‘禮的等級制與等級倫理’與‘親疏遠近的血緣意識’，來鞏固‘專制、權力、暴力、謊言與權威’文化，不是嗎？”
“如果沒有《聖經》，如果沒有God，如果沒有《十誡》，那麼人類的最高價值就不是‘Absolute Love (Love your neighbor as yourself, Love your enemy as yourself), Absolute Moral, Absolute Truth, Absolute Good, Absolute Beauty, Righteousness, Integrity, Liberalism, Individualism, Freeman, Faith, Hope, Equality, Equity, Fairness, Life, Fortitude, Courage, Joy, Happiness, Peace’與‘Individual dignity, freedom, love, justice, liberty, and human rights’，不是嗎？”
“如果沒有《聖經》，如果沒有God，如果沒有《十誡》，那麼人類如何能擺脫追求‘Secular values, Material values, Value Nihilism’而追求‘Sacred values, Spiritual values, Absolute Love’？那麼人類的最高價值就是‘名利權位、榮華富貴、福祿壽喜、升官發財’，不是嗎？”
“上述《聖經》的經文，就是《美國獨立宣言》裡‘All men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.’理念的基礎，不是嗎？”
“沒有上述《聖經》經文的理念，人類怎麼能擺脫‘血緣與等級意識’？人類怎麼會有‘Individualism, Freeman, Individual person, Individual freedom, Self-dignity, Self-control, Self-government, Self-responsibility, Self-protection, Self-defense, Self-happiness, Self-directed morals, Self-enforced orientation, Independent person, Independent States’的理念？”
“沒有上述《聖經》經文的理念，人類怎麼會產生‘California Republic, Republic of Hawaii, Republic of Texas, Colorado Republic, North Carolina Republic, Arizona Republic, Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Commonwealth of Massachusetts, Commonwealth of Kentucky, Commonwealth of Virginia’等獨立國的理念？”
