在2008年台灣選舉總統日前夕，茉莉花在台灣的某街上招手叫計程車，茉莉花上了車後，計程車司機問茉莉花，“你是‘藍軍’還是‘綠軍’，你必須先告訴我，否則我如何能決定載不載你？”茉莉花說，“你不知道‘All Human Beings Are Created in the Image of God’(ex. love, justice, wisdom, goodness, kindness, fortitude, prudence, etc.)與‘All men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.’嗎？”
“所謂的‘藍軍’還是‘綠軍’，並不是‘道德判斷’與‘價值鑑別’的標準；我是‘An individual/Freeman’，我不屬於任何‘群體’與‘類別’，你也無權將我‘群體化’與‘類別化’，不是嗎？”
