墨家主要有十大思想主張，即“兼愛”、“非攻”、“尚賢”、“尚同”、“節用”、“節葬”、“非樂”、“非命”、“天志”、“明鬼”。

但是，墨家並不反對“專制與封建文化”，墨家並不反對“奴隸制度與等級社會”，墨家並不主張“Individualism、Liberalism、Love for enemy、Democracy、Freedom、Freeman、All man are created equal、All man have natural human rights、All power belongs to the people、Rule of law、Fight for justice、Drive out evil spirits、Human rights transcending sovereignty、The sovereign power resides in the people、People have private property rights、People have the right to self-determination、People have the right to establish a nation、People have the right for autonomy、Limited power of the government、Small government、People have the inalienable right to choose their public officials and to dismiss them、All of the people shall be respected as individuals、All public officials are servants、People have the right for revolution、Peoples have the right to own weapons與People have the rights to live, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness”等理念，墨家並不主張“敬畏God、信仰絕對的道德理念、遵守十誡”；如此，墨家的十大思想主張，於是變成了失根的百合花，它們如何能長久存活？
