在中華文化村子裡，有一群雞在泥地裡啄食蛆、虫、蚯蚓，其中有一鷹也混居在雞群中；這鷹是村子裡的雞在山裡拾獲的鷹蛋，然後被雞孵大的，牠以為自己也是雞，因此一直學著雞在泥地裡啄食蛆、虫、蚯蚓。有一天，有一鷹在天空上飛翔，牠飛過了中華文化村子，村子裡的群雞與鷹看見了，孵鷹的雞對鷹說，“別看了！我們是雞不是鷹，我們不能飛！” ；那鷹疑惑地說，“我與那在天空上飛的鷹如此地相似，我為啥不能飛？”
村子外，螢火蟲對著村子裡的鷹唱著《鷹之歌》，“Have you not come to know or have you not heard? Jehovah, the Creator of the extremities of the earth, is a God to time indefinite. He does not tire out or grow weary. There is no searching out of his understanding. He is giving to the tired one power; and to the one without dynamic energy he makes full might abound. Boys will both tire out and grow weary, and young men themselves will without fail stumble, but those who are hoping in Jehovah will regain power. They will mount up with wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary; they will walk and not tire out.” (Is 40:28-31)；唱完後，螢火蟲對著雞群裡的那鷹大喊，“你是鷹不是雞，你能飛，你不知道嗎？”
