在生命之水的河(The River of Life)旁，老鷹對螢火蟲說，“主耶穌基督曾說，‘I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world."’(John 16:33)，主耶穌基督如何勝過了世界？”螢火蟲提出了意見，“主耶穌基督對父說，‘I have given them your word and the world has hated them, for they are not of the world any more than I am of the world. My prayer is not that you take them out of the world but that you protect them from the evil one. They are not of the world, even as I am not of it. Sanctify them by the truth; your word is truth. As you sent me into the world, I have sent them into the world.’(John 17:14-18)。耶和華的話與真理，可以完全戰勝邪惡與謊言；遵循耶和華的話與真理，就可以戰勝統治世界之王撒但，不是嗎？”
“主耶穌基督對彼拉多(Pilate)說，‘My kingdom is not of this world. If it were, my servants would fight to prevent my arrest by the Jews. But now my kingdom is from another place.’(John 18:36)、‘You are right in saying I am a king. In fact, for this reason I was born, and for this I came into the world, to testify to the truth. Everyone on the side of truth listens to me.’(John 18:37)，那麼統治世界之王撒但，如何能戰勝與統治主耶穌基督的王國呢？”
“主耶穌基督又說，‘Truly, truly, I say to you, you will weep and lament, but the world will rejoice. You will be sorrowful, but your sorrow will turn into joy.’(John 16:20)、‘Nevertheless, I tell you the truth: it is to your advantage that I go away, for if I do not go away, the Helper will not come to you. But if I go, I will send him to you. And when he comes, he will convict the world concerning sin and righteousness and judgment: concerning sin, because they do not believe in me; concerning righteousness, because I go to the Father, and you will see me no longer; concerning judgment, because the ruler of this world is judged.’(John 16:7-11)、‘I still have many things to say to you, but you cannot bear them now. When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all the truth, for he will not speak on his own authority, but whatever he hears he will speak, and he will declare to you the things that are to come. He will glorify me, for he will take what is mine and declare it to you.
