1922年7月3日至8日，中華教育改進社(成立于1921年12月23日)在濟南召開第一屆年會。在初等教育組討論中，北京教育會代表胡適提交《凡初等學校(包括幼稚園)概不得有宗教的教育(包括理論儀式)》之議案，“凡初等學校（包括幼稚園）概不得有宗教教育（包括理論與儀式）。兒童當此時間受感力最強，而判斷力最弱，教育家不應利用這個機會，灌輸‘宇宙中有神主宰’、‘上帝創造世界’、‘鬼神是有的，並且能賞善罰惡的’等等不能證實、或未曾證實的傳說；也不應該利用這個機會，用祈禱、禮節、靜坐、咒誦等等儀式來做傳教的工具。總之，學校不是傳教的地方，初等學校尤不是傳教的地方，利用兒童的幼弱無知為傳教的機會，是一種罪惡。”(這議案是近現代東亞大陸教育社團所通過的第一份反教會教育決議，也是後來政治力量全面干預與踐踏學校教育主權的黑色推手)天空中的螢火蟲說，“《Holy Bible》說，‘And God went on to say: Let us make man in our image, according to our likeness, and let them have in subjection the fish of the sea and the flying creatures of the heavens and the domestic animals and all the earth and every moving animal that is moving upon the earth. And God proceeded to create the man in his image, in God’s image he created him; male and female he created them.’(Gen 1:26-27)，這經文不就是人類建立‘All Human Beings Are Created in the Image of God’(Human dignity and human rights are God-given; Individual dignity and individual rights come from God, not from anyone)、‘Individual spiritual virtues and values’(Individual consciousness, soul, mind, dignity, integrity, honor, faith, hope, love, justice, independence, confidence, goodness, kindness, moral responsibility, free will, braveheart, freedom, liberty, creativity, joy, happiness, peace and individual rights)、‘Respect individual dignity and life’與‘All men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights, that they are among these are life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness’(Christian Civilization)等信念的唯一支撐基礎？你如果沒有這些堅定的信念，你如何可能挺身堅定地反對人轄制人(Ecc 8:9)與人大屠殺人(Gen 9:6)的活動？你不知道‘你的思想是未來國共兩儒粹黨實行大屠殺的號角’嗎？”
