在秦王殿裡，撒但所派來的孔子古蛇藉機附身在李斯的身上，然後牠對秦始皇說，“胥人者，去其幾也。成大功者，在因瑕釁而遂忍之。昔者秦穆公之霸，終不東並六國者，何也？諸侯尚眾，周德未衰，故五伯迭興，更尊周室。自秦孝公以來，周室卑微，諸侯相兼，關東為六國，秦之乘勝役諸侯，蓋六世矣。今諸侯服秦，譬若郡縣。夫以秦之彊，大王之賢，由灶上騷除，足以滅諸侯，成帝業，為天下一統，此萬世之一時也。今怠而不急就，諸侯復彊，相聚約從，雖有黃帝之賢，不能並也！”秦始皇手裡拿著禁果(Gen 3:1-19)大悅地說，“那就由我來建巴別塔(Gen 11:1-9)，那就由我來成就大一統，那就由我來創立中華帝國，那就由我來當統治世界的王(John 12:31; John 14:30; John 16:11)，這不是挺好的主意(Gen 3:7)嗎？”
秦王殿外，螢火蟲氣憤地說，“經上說，‘The God that made the world and all the things in it, being, as this One is, Lord of heaven and earth, does not dwell in handmade temples, neither is he attended to by human hands as if he needed anything, because he himself gives to all [persons] life and breath and all things. And he made out of one [man] every nation of men, to dwell upon the entire surface of the earth, and he decreed the appointed times and the set limits of the dwelling of [men], for them to seek God, if they might grope for him and really find him, although, in fact, he is not far off from each one of us. For by him we have life and move and exist, even as certain ones of the poets among YOU have said, For we are also his progeny. Seeing, therefore, that we are the progeny of God, we ought not to imagine that the Divine Being is like gold or silver or stone, like something sculptured by the art and contrivance of man. True, God has overlooked the times of such ignorance, yet now he is telling mankind that they should all everywhere repent.
