探討美國文明的基礎，必須從主耶穌基督愛的福音談起，主耶穌基督在詮釋《十誡》時，針對前四誡提出了“Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.” (Matthew 22:37-38)；針對後六誡提出了“Love your neighbor as yourself” (Matthew 22:39)。
因此，主耶穌基督確立了“God is Love”、 “Love is God”、“God's steadfast love and righteousness”、“The Gospel of Love (Love your neighbor as yourself、Love your enemy as yourself、Love each other as Jesus has loved you)”與《十誡》的必然關係。
《十誡》是人類“Self-respect, Self-dignity, Self-control, Self-government, Self- responsibility, Self-defense, Self-protection, Self-directed morals, Self-enforced orientation”文化的唯一基礎與道德座標。
“Self-respect, Self-dignity, Self-control, Self-government, Self- responsibility, Self-defense, Self-protection, Self-directed morals, Self-enforced orientation”的本質、內涵、基礎與道德座標，就是“God's steadfast love and righteousness”。
美國的“Individualism, Liberalism, Individual person, Freeman, Spirit of Liberty”、“All man are created equal, All man have natural human rights, The rule of law, Tripartite Separation of Powers (Separation of executive, legislative, and judicial powers), The servants of the people (The government officers are the people's servants), People have the right to establish a nation, People have the right to autonomy, People have the right to establish a Constitution, All power from the people, Citizens are not subordinate to the government, Human rights transcend sovereignty, People have the right to own guns, Independent state, American Federalism, Modern Democracy”與“Fight for individual dignity, freedom, justice, liberty, and human rights”等文明理念，完全是建立在“Self-respect, Self-dignity, Self-control, Self-government, Self- responsibility, Self-defense, Self-protection, Self-directed morals, Self-enforced orientation”等道德意識上的，因此，它們的道德性基礎也是《十誡》與“God's steadfast love and righteousness”。
沒有“Self-respect, Self-dignity, Self-control, Self-government, Self- responsibility, Self-defense, Self-protection, Self-directed morals, Self-enforced orientation”等價值理念的“Spirit of Liberty”，就是“放縱的精神”；沒有“Self-respect, Self-dignity, Self-control, Self-government, Self- responsibility, Self-defense, Self-protection, Self-directed morals, Self-enforced orientation”等價值理念的“Liberalism”，就是“放縱主義”；沒有“God is Love , God's steadfast love, the Gospel of Love (Love your neighbor as yourself, Love your enemy as yourself, Love each other as Jesus has loved you)”等價值理念的“Individualism”，就是“楊朱主義”，就是“損一毫利天下，不與也”意識。
在一個缺乏“主耶穌基督愛的福音與《十誡》” 的世界，談論“Spirit of Liberty, Liberalism, Individualism, Individual person, Freeman” ，那就是等於談論“放縱的精神、放縱主義、楊朱主義、損一毫利天下不為也、放縱人”等思想。
