有一天，有一位來自大陸與來美旅遊的大小眼先生問小民哥，“在美國，為什麼幼稚園的老師要蹲下來與兒童說話？為什麼國務卿辦圖書証時要排隊？為什麼總統去教堂禮拜時不是坐第一排的位子？為什麼美國人要爲普遍沒有信仰的黑奴流血打南北戰爭？為什麼美國人要幫助德日戰敗國與仇敵國‘實行憲政與發展經濟’？為什麼美國醫院願意為沒有錢的非法移民治病與支付巨額的醫藥費？為什麼美國人關心其它國的人權問題？為什麼美國人要主動進行反恐活動？”小民哥微笑地回答，“因為你有大小眼，所以你無法擺脫‘血緣與等級意識’來愛與關懷人！美國的建國者大都是基督徒，因此他們會遵循《聖經》的理念，那就是‘All men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.’、‘Love your neighbor as yourself’、‘Love your enemy as yourself’、‘Self-dignity, Self-control, Self-government, Self-responsibility, Self-protection, Self-defense, Self-directed morals, Self-enforced orientation’、‘ Fight for individual dignity, freedom, justice, liberty, and human rights’等，不是嗎？”
