2009年7月20日，在臺北中正廟的靈堂裡，杜魯門用中指指著蔣介石、宋美齡、宋靄齡、宋子文、孔令侃與孔祥熙等的靈牌對一位參訪者說道，“They're thieves, every damn one of them. They stole $750 million out of the billions that we sent to Chiang. They stole it, and it's invested in real estate down in São Paolo and some right here in New York.”(他們全都是賊，沒有一個不是賊……他們從我們送給蔣介石的38億美元中偷了7.5億美元。他們偷了這些錢，把它投資在聖保羅的房地產中，有些就投資在紐約。”那位參訪者也用中指指著剛掛回的賊紀念堂牌匾氣憤地說道，“據說1949年5月，就是宋美齡訪美後的幾個月，美國銀行界紛紛傳出，宋家和孔家確實有20億美元存在曼哈頓。有誰不知道蔣孔宋是賊？現在的臺灣人怎麼還讓這賊廟存在呢？”
廟外的螢火蟲氣憤地說，“主耶穌基督曾說，‘Don't store treasures for yourselves here on earth where moths and rust will destroy them and thieves can break in and steal them. But store your treasures in heaven where they cannot be destroyed by moths or rust and where thieves cannot break in and steal them. Your heart will be where your treasure is.’(Matthew 6:19-21)，這些假基督徒之賊可能聽從嗎？”
