在東亞大陸的中華文化糞坑裡，竇娥蛆好奇地問秋菊蛆，“晚清李寶嘉寫的《官場現形記》、1949年前國民黨在大陸寫的《官場現形記》、1949年後共產黨在大陸寫的《官場現形記》，你覺得哪一本的內容寫得比較黑與臭呢？”秋菊蛆毫不考慮地回答，“它們都是描寫這糞坑裡的故事，它們都是這糞坑裡的產物，它們不都是一樣的黑與臭？否則你我怎麼都會受不了？否則你我怎麼都想推翻它呢？”
糞坑外的螢火蟲氣憤地說，“經上說，‘Beloved ones, let us continue loving one another, because love is from God, and everyone who loves has been born from God and gains the knowledge of God. He that does not love has not come to know God, because God is love.’(1 John 4:7-8)與‘By this we gain the knowledge that we are remaining in union with him and he in union with us, because he has imparted his spirit to us. In addition, we ourselves have beheld and are bearing witness that the Father has sent forth his Son as Savior of the world. Whoever makes the confession that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, God remains in union with such one and he in union with God.’(1 John 4:13-15)，如果這些蛆不肯先唾棄與離開這糞坑，如果這些蛆缺乏向光的決心與理念，那麼不論牠們再怎麼推翻與瞎攪和這糞，牠們如何可能看見光呢？”
