2010年1月12日，海地發生大地震時，在超過20萬具死人屍體旁，無知鳥抱怨地對螢火蟲說，“經上說，‘Far be it from the [true] God to act wickedly, And the Almighty to act unjustly!’(Job 34:10)與‘God is love, and he that remains in love remains in union with God and God remains in union with him.’(1 John 4:16)，那麼耶和華為何要發動這場殺人無數的大地震呢？”螢火蟲不同意地說，“經上說，‘Now there is a judging of this world; now the ruler of this world will be cast out.’(John 12:31; John 14:30; John 16:11)，你不知道現在撒但是統治世界的王嗎？經上說，‘We know we originate with God, but the whole world is lying in the [power of the] wicked one.’(1 John 5:19)，你不知道現在是撒但在控制世界嗎？”
“主耶穌基督說，‘Repent, YOU people, for the kingdom of the heavens has drawn near.’(Mt 4:17)與‘Our Father in the heavens, let your name be sanctified. Let your kingdom come. Let your will take place, as in heaven, also upon earth.’(Mt 6:9-10)，如果人類不肯接受‘Jehovah's Commmandments(《Ten Commandments》)’與‘主耶穌基督愛的福音’，如果人類不肯真心地向耶和華懺悔與改過向光，如果人類不肯遠離罪(Romans 6:2-14)，那麼人類如何能擺脫各種罪的綑綁、撒但的控制與大災難呢？”
