The Meaning of Jesus’ Crucifixion
In these last days, how should people understand the full meaning of Jesus’ crucifixion? How can a proper understanding of its complete significance lead them to receive eternal life?
The crucifixion of Jesus Christ is the very heart of God’s plan of salvation revealed throughout the Bible. It is the supreme demonstration of God’s love, righteousness, and grace. When people understand the true meaning of the cross, they not only come to know God’s grace in the forgiveness of sins, but also recognize His calling upon their lives.

From the above Scriptures, we learn that all people have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. Yet because God loves the world, He sent His only Son to atone for the sins of humanity, thereby demonstrating both His perfect love and His perfect righteousness.
Because the Lord Jesus obeyed the Father’s will and went to the cross, He became the atoning sacrifice for the sins of the world. Through His sacrificial death, people can be reconciled to God. Those who continue to obey the teachings of Jesus and faithfully follow Him may enter the kingdom of heaven and receive the promise of eternal life.
