Are You Born of God?
In this end-time generation, the world is filled with confusion, temptation, and countless human voices. Many people profess to believe in Jesus, yet their lives have not truly allowed Christ to reign as Lord.
Therefore, we need to seriously examine one of the most important questions of our lives: Am I truly born of God? What must a person do to demonstrate that he or she is truly born of God?
John 1:12–13
“But to all who received Him, to those who believed in His name, He gave the right to become children of God—children born not of blood, nor of the desire or will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but born of God.”
From this passage, we understand that those who receive Jesus and believe in His name are given the right to become children of God. They are not born of human ancestry, human desire, or human will, but are born of God.
So, how can we know whether we have truly received Jesus and are truly born of God?
John 14:23
“Jesus replied, ‘Anyone who loves Me will obey My teaching. My Father will love them, and We will come to them and make Our home with them.’”
This passage teaches us that those who truly love Jesus will obey His word, and that the Father and the Son will come and make Their dwelling with them. Therefore, the person who receives Christ, loves Him, and obeys His word welcomes Him into his or her life. Such a person is truly receiving Jesus and demonstrating the evidence of being born of God.
Conclusion
In this end-time generation, what we truly need to examine is not merely whether we call out with our lips, “Lord, Lord,” but whether Christ is truly reigning in our lives.
Those who are born of God will desire to receive Jesus, love Jesus, obey His word, and allow Him to dwell within their lives. May we never remain satisfied with a faith that exists only in words. Instead, may we allow the Word of God to transform our thoughts, intentions, character, and actions.
In these last days, may we wholeheartedly fear God, obey the commandments of Jesus, pursue holiness, and faithfully follow our Lord. May the life of Christ be manifested through us, so that we may truly be recognized as those who are born of God and belong to Christ, remaining faithful to Him until the day Jesus returns.
