在美國的某超市裏，有兩說漢語者在對話，A對B說，“妳也來美國超市買菜呀！”；B說，“最近小孩子吃了在華人超市買的食物後，上吐下瀉了好幾天，以後還是來美國超市買菜比較保險，不是嗎？”A對B說，“妳說的對！我從來不去華人超市買食物，因為我就在華人超市工作，我知道那是怎麼回事，我怎麼敢去呢？在華人超市工作時，我每天早上的第一件事，就是把所有過期食物的標籤更換成新的日期，我要把所有包裝的菜與肉翻面讓它們看起來比較新鮮，我要把所有不新鮮的菜與肉拿去滷或油炸以變成熟食，我要把所有過期的海鮮與海帶洗一洗讓它們看起來比較有賣相，我要把所有過期的魚漿與魚丸加入防腐料，我要把所有壞掉的東西用各種手段來設法變成新鮮品，這樣過期的食物就可以繼續賣了，所有華人開的超市，不論在美國、台灣、大陸，不都是如此做嗎？”；B說，“其實所有華人開的各行各業，不都是如此？我在華人開的蛋糕店工作，我們賣的過期麵包、餅干、蛋糕與月餅，也不都是如此做嗎？”
超市外，烏鴉望著垃圾桶口上的一沱鳥屎氣憤地說，“經上說，‘And just as they did not approve of holding God in accurate knowledge, God gave them up to a disapproved mental state, to do the things not fitting, filled as they were with all unrighteousness, wickedness, covetousness, badness, being full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, malicious disposition, being whisperers, backbiters, haters of God, insolent, haughty, self-assuming, inventors of injurious things, disobedient to parents, without understanding, false to agreements, having no natural affection, merciless.
